I am honored to be added to your blogroll. I am also shamed by my inactivity. It is a strange dichotomy, to be sure.

Two things:

1) It has been WAY too long since your last update. Hop to it. Chop, chop.

2) You have been added to the Polaroid Blogroll in the footer of my site. This is your lucky day, my friend.

You make a good point. Times are certainly different. I don't even trust the free packets of cereal that come in the mail.

@Kev: They would have to be a minimum of 120 years old, so no, I don't think they even go in grocery stores anymore. =)

@Salome Ellen: You make it sound much better. If they could deliver real cheese, too, I'd petition someone to get a "Milkman Restoration" clause in our next stimulus bill.

@Angi: You have incredibly high standards for answering your door. I can only imagine the grief you give your friends for not bearing amazing gifts when they come over.

Personally, I'd rather open up my door to find a giant check for $1,000,000 and that old dude from the Publishers Clearing House handing me a balloon bouquet and roses, and maybe some confetti raining down from above, but that's just me.

Milk is boring, comparatively...

Oh, come on! It was great! There was a little insulated box (that held about two gallons,) and if you wanted cottage cheese or sour cream or something, you just left a note, and there it was (added to your monthly bill.) Ask any mom whether she'd like to not need to run out for milk...
